1. Уполномоченный по рассмотрению жалоб на банки (Banking Ombudsman)) чиновник, руководящий службой, созданной в 1986 г. 19 банками и финансируемой ими, которая рассматривает жалобы их клиентов по поводу услуг банков-членов. В январе 1993 г. ее функции были расширены, с тех пор в них включено рассмотрение жалоб малых компаний (оборот менее 1 млн ф. ст.).
2. Уполномоченный по рассмотрению жалоб на строительные общества (Building Societies Ombudsman) чиновник, руководящий службой, созданной в 1987 г. всеми строительными обществами Великобритании и финансируемой ими, которая рассматривает жалобы их клиентов по поводу услуг строительных обществ.
3. Уполномоченный по рассмотрению жалоб на страховые компании (Insurance Ombudsman) чиновник, руководящий службой, созданной в 1981 г. примерно 200 страховыми компаниями и финансируемой ими, которая занимается урегулированием конфликтов между держателями страховых полисов и страховыми компаниями-членами.
4. Уполномоченный по рассмотрению жалоб на инвестиционных менеджеров (Investment Ombudsman) чиновник, руководящий службой, созданной в 1989 г. Организацией регулирования деятельности инвестиционных менеджеров (Investment Managers Regulation Organisation-IMRO) (см.: Self-Regulating Organisation (саморегулирующая организация)) для разрешения споров между этой Организацией и ее клиентами. Хотя деятельность этой службы финансируется Организацией регулирования деятельности инвестиционных менеджеров, она независима от последней.
5. Уполномоченный по рассмотрению жалоб на пенсионные фонды (Pensions Ombudsman) - чиновник, назначаемый министром социальных услуг в соответствии с Законом 1990 г. о социальном обеспечении, который отвечает за разрешение споров между отдельными лицами и их фондами пенсионного обеспечения. Уполномоченный по рассмотрению жалоб на пенсионные фонды отвечает перед парламентом.
